Song of Kings
Song of Kings is a 2.5D side-scrolling platformer that follows the journey of a young Yaksha boy who must escape captivity and return to his homeland after being kidnapped by humans. The game combines stealth mechanics, environmental puzzles, and platforming challenges as the protagonist navigates through a dangerous world filled with enemies, mythological creatures, and ancient mysteries.
The game’s art direction and world design draw heavily from ancient Sri Lankan landscapes and mythology, providing an immersive experience as players explore temples, jungles, castles, and mystical realms. Through the journey, the protagonist learns more about his heritage, unlocking magical abilities tied to his mystical origins.
You play as, “Yaka boy”, a seemingly talentless young Yaksha child with royal blood, often bullied by other Yakshas in his village, he wishes to prove himself but fails almost every time. However one fateful day, he is abducted by humans and must set out on a perilous journey compelling him to uncover secrets and face challenges that will ultimately shape his destiny and discover his true strength.
